Shalford's Sesquicentennial
Shalford Primary School is 150 years old.
On Wednesday 19th June 2024, Shalford celebrated its 150th anniversary.
A tree was planted to commemorate this special occasion and this was followed by a special open school event. Dozens of members of our local community visited the school, alongside former pupils and staff.
The children at the school had completed learning projects based on the history of the school exploring what it meant to the local farming community throughout history, what education was like during the Victorian era and how the local community came together to support evacuees during WWII.
It was a very special occasion. Here's to the next 150 years!
